Stop Smoking Treatments Review

The secret to smoking cessation lies in how motivated the person is to really give up once and for all. However once the decision to stop smoking these health destroying cancer sticks is finally made, there are a number of quit smoking aids and therapies that can prove to be extremely useful.

These include, hypnosis, NLP, EFT therapy, group therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy and deep relaxation techniques. Deep relaxation can be achieved, amongst other things through meditation, hypnosis or listening to subliminal CDs. Other aids are nicotine patches or gum, inhalers, a tailored diet and even prescription medication upon the advice of a doctor.

Hypnosis

Hypnotherapy is basically a way to deeply relax. When you are in a state of deep relaxation you are more open to healthy suggestions that are good for the body and mind. So at this point the hypnotherapist (or yourself if you are using a self help program) will introduce positive suggestions like ‘I am a non smoker now’, I feel much better now that I have stopped smoking cigarettes’, ‘all cravings are gone’ and so on. Hypnosis can help to minimise or stop cravings altogether and may be the only thing you need.

The main secret is in the motivation. If you don’t really want to quit, the whole program will be compromised and you may find yourself saying ‘I tried that and it didn’t work’
